Pneumatic forklift tires are air-filled and built with thick rubber. Deep tread patterns give strong traction on gravel, asphalt, and other types of uneven ground. The pressurized design cushions impact while keeping the machine as stable as possible.
Solid pneumatic tires are molded from rubber. They are resistant to punctures, and they tend to be easier to maintain than their pneumatic counterparts. These tires are designed for sites with sharp debris or heavy loads. If you’re considering a solid tire, keep in mind that they ride more rigidly than air-filled tires.
Polyurethane tires are made from a tough synthetic compound. They roll easily on smooth concrete and carry heavy loads with low rolling resistance. They also resist chemicals and often last longer than rubber tires. Polyurethane tires are designed for indoor settings and are most commonly found on electric forklifts.
Most forklift truck tires don’t slip on and off; they’re press-mounted instead. That means that specialized equipment pushes the old tire off the rim and presses the new one into place. This piece of equipment is called a forklift tire press.
Berry Material Handling has a tire press available in Kansas, so you don’t have to lose time if your forklift needs new tires. Our team can remove and install your tires quickly, helping you cut downtime and keep your fleet moving.
In addition to tires, we also supply wheels, tire parts, and tire accessories. Having these items on hand can mean a smoother repair experience for your team when you’re trying to keep forklifts and pallet jacks in use.
Bearings reduce friction between moving parts. They keep wheels turning smoothly and extend service life.
Caster wheels improve maneuverability in confined spaces. They provide stable, controlled movement for lighter loads.
Hubs secure wheels to the forklift axle. A well-fitted hub will help to keep your forklift in alignment.
Wheel kits restore worn pallet jacks quickly. Replacing wheels improves handling and extends equipment use.
These load wheels are built for fast replacement. They reduce downtime when damaged wheels need to be swapped out.
Rims provide the base for mounting tires. Strong rims will give you a secure fit, especially on specific forklift models.
